Point of the additional pages?
If each of my category pages is unique, and the recordset on each of those pages is unique, then isn't creating ANOTHER set of pages (one for each of my unique recordsets) just duplication?
You mentioned earlier (above) that "Plugins is a way of creating complex pieces of functionality, and reusing them across many pages in your site." - but that's not what I'm trying to do here. I simply want to use the same style product panel across all of my main category pages so that if I make a change to one of those panels, they all change.
I don't need the recordsets to change because they are unique to every page.
Sorry, but I'm really struggling to understand the concept here plus I also can't stand having pages, directories, files etc all relating to plugins and templates dotted all over my websites that are simply not needed. It just becomes a mess.
I have created the following flat file which just has the recordset (for spotlights), the product panel and the repeat region:
First thing I've noticed is that none of the images now show, and the product title and product code have disappeared. I have literally cut and pasted this panel from the original spotlights page, where none of these errors occur:
Additional: Just added the Framework Builder plugin on a test page (http://www.ledwarehouseuk.com/LED-spotlightstest.php) and it makes no sense at all. If I want to change the layout of the product display panel then I'd still have to do it on every plugin page. That is what I already had in my main category pages!!
Also, the images don't display anymore and the product title and product code are still missing.
Would really appreciate your help. Thank you.
