SEO Friendly URLS in 4.5

Thread began 12/19/2011 11:19 am by bamron430268 | Last modified 2/03/2014 5:50 pm by bamron430268 | 4601 views | 30 replies

I would think that by now SEO friendly URL's would be part and parcel of shopping cart packages.
I just don't understand why webassist is so evasive with this support question.

If I have a site of 3000 products typically organised as a 3 to 4 deep category tree, does the HTaccess file have to have a redirect listing for every page that would otherwise have a category/product id URL?

I am looking at coming back to webassist with a new site however this type of support issue leaves me somewhat cold.
Am I better of spending my money on a Magento site that includes this feature as standard.
