Hi Craig,

It always takes me a few hours to fully understand a solution. Hopefully I did. Therefor it takes so much time to post a reply.

I think your solution should work. Your sentence "The unique ID for the above table could be a compound key of ItemID and LanguageID." made everything clear.

I will call this tblName to not get more confused.

NameID - LanguageID - Name
1 - 1 - Dog
1 - 2 - Hund
1 - 3 - Chien
1 - 4 - Perro
2 - 1 - Cat

I would then add a column NameID to tblItem.

That should work. You convinced me to create a new table for each column that would have repeating data. One of those columns is contents in tblPrice. If I now create a table

ContentsID, Language ID, Contents
1, 1, Hund Leine
1, 1, Hund Halsband
1, 2, Dog Leash
1, 2, Dog Collar
2, 1, Katze Leine
2, 1, Katze Halsband
2, 2, Cat Leash
2, 2, Cat Collar

Or am I missing a column?
