Double Opt-in Registration modifications

Double Opt-in Registration - registration.php page email settings

I completed the tutorial - and uploaded files to the live server. Decided NOT to add the checkbox for terms and conditions until after I make sure I have the basic registration process working per the tutorial.

I DID modify the registration form to have far fewer fields, and this is all working correctly.

When I submit the registration form it just returns to the registration form. Nothing gets emailed... I do get an error about authentication in the logs on the server...

I have a working CONTACT form on this site.. and I THOUGHT I used the same settings .. when I tried to find the Universal Email component in the Server Behaviors panel for the registration.php page, though - I don't see one. I ran all the way through this setup and it created the Blank.php page ... so I was wondering if I need to look somewhere else for changing the mail settings.

I've attached a copy of the registration.php page...

OH... also the form contents ARE creating a record in the database for the new user.

Any tips on helping to debug this appreciated.

Thanks!

- Kevin
