Looking through the documentation for your host, host.com, i found the following page with a sample email script:
http://www.hosting.com/support/linux/phpmail

I created a test page on your server using this script, see the private message section for a link.

used your address for the from address and my email as the to address. Even this sample script wont send emails, This leads me to believe there is a problem on the host end. you will need to contact the host for determine why the sample php emailing script they provide does not work. With a working example from the host, i can determine the correct settings for Universal Email.

It may be that the host does properly support php mail(), perhaps they support SMTP mail using Pear Mail.
