Although I understand where WebAssist is coming from in this new offering I still think WA should give us far more incentives to want to consider purchasing full license and reward full license owners far more. I don't think the current setup fee waiver/discount for existing customers is enough to make us feel like our past purchase and potential future purchases to update our licenses is fully justified. I mean, think about it: Super Suite, even at the current price, is about 2.5 year worth of subscription for THE ENTIRE PRODUCT LINE no matter how you twist it. I think in just two years WA will likely be releasing a couple of major updates for some, or potentially all of their products, the upgrade price will most likely be worth at least a few months worth of subscription, and in that case I wonder why I should've even purchased my licenses, or why I should EVER consider WA's purchasing option again.
It's easy to say "yeah, things progress, TV gets old, so deal with it" and in one sense I understand and even accept that sentiment, but in this case I still think it is quite a bit biased toward rewarding only newcomers at the expense of existing license owners.
They listened, indeed. WebAssist has been doing a great job patiently listening to us, and I am pleased to report that they have resolved my case in satisfactory manner. I now consider this peacefully resolved. Thank you Ray for being patient with our complaints.
