Data Bridge upgrade pricing is inconsistent

I agree with most that has been said on the topic of Web Assist forcing clients to upgrade to a compendium product - the individual components of which one already owns. I have bought the Design Extension. Why? Simply because I was offered the product at $39.99 as an upgrade. Why was Data Bridge not offered to clients, such as I, at a similar price? I emailed Web Assist's Ray Borduin, with this question, and this was his reply

... "In the spirit of the holiday sale I will offer you Data Bridge for $129.99. If you are interested let me know and I can call and process the order for you over the phone or send you a coupon link....".

Not a particularly generous offer Ray a mere $20.00 reduction - I ask you again Ray why was Data Bridge not offered to me at around $39.99 as was the case for Design Extender? I believe if WA had been sensible enough to be more consistent with their marketing, they would have sold far more copies of Data Bridge and importantly avoided all this negative publicity. Think again Ray - you know it makes sense.
