Order of the new pages

The example that was provided was of the simplest kind. It assumed that the order the new pages were created in would be the order in which they should be displayed. What if the order in which they were to be displayed related to another item on the page.

Let's say that there is a small phone book being created with all of 20 people in it. Each person will have their own page with a first name, last name, description and photo. Ideally the entries would be sorted by lastname + firstname.

In a normally structured relational set up, this is a piece of cake. Not so trivial with the CMS.
