Not exactly. I think you may be risking breaking the extension. Unless I discover a security risk with kfm, I'm going to leave it alone. Let the extension configure it. When you add the ckeditor configuration values to it's config file, it will override kfm. Then I will configure the security for kcfinder on my own. kfm will site there unused, but I don't risk and extension failure because the extension can't find a kfm file.
