Mysql from 2 tables

Thanks for that Jason. that clarifies things for me re categories.
The problem I am having is in subcategories.
Some products fit into more than one subcategory and is stored in comma separated strings eg Concrete Adhesion Tester, Pull Off Adhesion Tester.

The problem I have is that when I drag the subcategory binding onto the page it shows both strings - Concrete Adhesion Tester, Pull Off Adhesion Tester when the recordset is set to look up 'Concrete Adhesion Tester' only.

I am hoping there is a way to show only the relevant string 'Concrete Adhesion Tester' and not show 'Pull Off Adhesion Tester'. Is it even possible to do this?
