Ok, now it seems to be working I didn't quite understand what you were saying at first now I do.

So now I have a server validation (not sure what the difference is between the 2 honestly, one seems to be in php and the other in javascript, is that correct?)

So now the form just seems to not submit on failure but rather reloads the same form, I suppose if I used the redirect that would work, but I need for the user to be informed that the form has failed an why.

So if I understand correctly what's going on here is I have a client side validation and a server side validation and more than likely I will have to remove all the client side and make them server side, but then how do I show the validation errors?
