Validations on DataAssist Pages

Thread began 10/15/2012 9:43 pm by bjgarner241692 | Last modified 1/10/2013 4:29 pm by bjgarner241692 | 1049 views | 13 replies

That is certainly an improvement but you still include the validation file in the search page, which is unnecessary overhead and you still have validation code in the fields of the insert and update pages, which is completely redundant.

<input id="adminid" name="adminid" type="text" value="<?php echo((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("idevaffadmininsert","adminid"):"")); ?>" class="formTextfield_Medium" tabindex="1">

Also, if you are going to put date formatting into the code you should at the least allow the option to choose the format.

The pages are extremely messy and inefficient compared to past versions.

Regarding your validations, if someone did want to include them initially, there is no easy way within the interface or Dreamweaver to edit them other than manually. They also do not render well on the finished pages without extensive editing. I do not use your validations and do not want any trace of them on my pages. Why should I have to manually delete them?

Please bring back the basics which you had perfected in DataAssist 2. That had always been in my opinion the best extension I have ever purchased from any source.
