Additional e-mail to customer after checkout

Additional e-mail to customer after checkout

Hi all,

I like to send and additional e-mail (in addition to the order confirmation) to my customers. What is the best way to do this?

Currently, we have the order confirmation e-mail send using Universal E-mail after the customer submits the confirm.php page (works great). I like an additional e-mail (with info, discounts, etc) to be send also to the same customer).

What I tried without any success so far was I thought I could simply add an e-mail to the checkout_success.php page that would be triggered before page load of the checkout_success.php (since there is no other action required). But if I add universal e-mail to this page, the following error message appears on the site after the order is submitted:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function writeueprogress() in [my path]/checkout_success.php on line 37

The line 37 in the code shows: writeUEProgress($EmailRef,0,$TotalEmails,$TimeRemaining);

Any suggestions how I could do this correctly or why I receive the error if I tried it correctly would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
