File Permission Error installing PowerCMS

Thread began 11/19/2012 10:28 am by ken.parsons268685 | Last modified 1/11/2013 9:26 am by ken.parsons268685 | 844 views | 3 replies

File Permission Error installing PowerCMS

While trying to install 'Add Content to PowerCMS' I keep getting the following error on step 1 of 5

File Permissions
Files and directories cannot be created. Verify the ../ directory has write permissions on your server.
Please make sure the ../Connections folder has write permissions on your server.

It appears to copy all the files successfully to the remote host but never get passed this step. I have set the file permissions on the root of my remote host to 777 to see if this will help but I still keep getting the error. I'm using DW CS6 to do this.
Any help most appreciated.
