My Level 2 on Menu disappearing on hover

Would appreciate some guidence on how to put right my current challenge on a work-in-progress development. Thanks - Don

System Windows 64bit Dreamweaver CS4 MenuWriter 2.05 SiteSculptor version 1.0.0

Problem Statement:
Horizontal CSS Menu constructed with Main, Level 1 and Level 2
Main and Level 1 work as expected.
In browser the level 2 menu displays but disappears before an item in the Level 2 menu can be selected.
Holding down the left mouse button for an item in level 1 (with a level 2 sub menu) and dragging the mouse to level 2 has these effects.
(1) in IE9 the cursor shape changes but permits selection of level 2, i.e. the level 2 menu stays on screen
(2) in Firefox 16.0.2 the cursor shape changes but the level 1 subject menu item is dragged across to the level 2 sub menu and then permits selection of a level 2 item

The secondary issue is the large screen space between the level 1 and level 2 menu
If making visual check the Level 2 menu displays are on the menu tabs 'Events' and 'History'

Action taken
(A) Cross Browser compatibility Set all Margins to zero (note that despite this I still have a line of code in cssmw_home/menu.css with the following line <<margin: 0 1px 0 0;>> see code snippet from cssmw_home/menu.css below)
(B) checked Forum and located similar issue with the solution <<in the CSSMenuWriter/cssmw/menu.css file, edit the ul#cssmw li selector and add: width: 150px;>> (Issue, my version of CSSMenuWriter does not have the folder cssmw)
