How to include Full Path of Graphic into Database?

Have read a lot of forum entries about this, and still no clearer.

Can anyone give me the definitive answer for the following question please?

I have an update form.
On that form there are various fields and 1 File upload box.
When I upload the graphic, it stores the filename of the graphic only.

However, my website, takes its images from a specific folder stored elsewhere on the site.

Luckily, I have all the Webassist extensions, from supersuite to data bridge and design extender.

How do I include the path of the graphic stored combined with the folder path for the database to pick up the path to the graphic.

At the moment, my database stores 'graphic1.jpg' (not includes quotes)
I want the database to hold the entry of '../images/slides/graphic1.jpg' (not includes quotes)

Is this possible? How easy it is? Is there a standard answer to this question? If not could a moderator tell me if this is going to be included soon in an update?

Many thanks, and regards
