Keep getting fatal errors with Security Assist

Keep getting fatal errors with Security Assist

I have been trying to set up Security Assist in order to password protect my site, and I have been trying every tutorial and forum suggestion with no luck. I am honestly not sure if Security Assist is even the easiest way to do it, because all I really need is to protect entrance to the site by one single password. There will only be a couple of us accessing this site, so it is only necessary to have 1 shared password (no user name or registration needed or wanted.) Could I get help walking through how to do this the easiest way?
