PS4 and SSL

PS4 and SSL

Hi, I'm trying to force SSL on the store domain.....

i'm on a shared server and the store domain is an "add-on" domain, but has its on SSL

on the mac, safari & firefox route to the https for all pages, but it doesn't in chrome
on the pc, IE, firefox and chrome all don't go over to SSL

if i do a wildcard redirect in cpanel (which writes it to the the .htaccess file) i get all kinds of errors on all the browsers and it won't let me in.... basically all the errors say its "being redirected where it will never be resolved"

the hosting company is trying to figure out why, but isn't having any luck. i'm hoping someone here has run into this and can help...

the only thing i see, is that the .htaccess file is in the "public_html" directory of the "home" site and is not loose on the root, but i'm not sure if i can move it to the root without causing problems.... and if moving it would even help

anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? please! :(
