Should be simple....Redirect Link to Show Specific Region

I have a show region on my Login page that says "You must be logged in to view this content." Now all this is for is checking to see if the user is verified or not. I only want it to display if they try to click on a certain set of links. My problem now is it displays the message if you navigate to the login page from anywhere. Which is correct because I am a visitor, thus I am not a verified user.

I set the show region for the text to be the rule "Not Verified User". I just don't know how to link to it so it only shows when coming from a certain set of links.

And how about a redirect once a show region is shown. Right now if you log in it says "You have been logged in". A couple seconds later I would like it to redirect to the homepage.
