I think EVERYONE on this forum will be interested to see how this single ticket was just handled behind the scenes. Here are the actual messages from DreamHost and my response on their private ticket screens:

I have read through your thread. Thank you for the feedback and suggestions. We try to channel communication through one central channel and then distribute the the appropriate group from there.

We are currently working on the next major update to cafe commerce, but it will still take us several months to complete it. We appreciate any suggestions for improvements and will carefully consider implementing them moving forward.

So as I said to Jason on the Forum... I've listed 2 major bugs and 2 design suggestions... he throws them on one ticket... and now you essentially say "Thanks, but this ticket is closed."


At least I see Ray Borduin confirms that SOMEWHERE in their process, bugs versus suggestions or whatever get sorted and "...[distributed to] the appropriate group from there..." just like every software development group I've ever owned, run or heard of on the planet does. But in most every efficiently running development house, one NEVER wastes valuable and expensive resources by having the most highly paid employees (the programers and engineers) who are always short on time and usually have a thousand top priority coding projects to complete, sort through such nonsense. THAT is something lower paid, front end, first line QA staff (or forum moderators?) can and should be able to easily do. Period.
