yes thats what I meant as plan to display the delivery costs next to the delivery option. hopefully the shipping rules will be straight forward to create, the only rules im a little clouded on are:

1. if the shipping option is UK based and the weight of orders totals more then 1000grams then the customer wont be able to select 2nd class (since royal mail only ships 2nd class up to 1000grams). also just a bit hazzy on the country select list if i wanted it to be set to Europe or rest of the world. (thats why i figured not to do that part and rely on customer to select either europe or rest of world - if the customer does the cheeky and select Uk postage if they live in the USA then the client said to me she would just contact them and tell them they need to pay more for the delivery.

Jason just to get an idea, as you said that you would put all in one table, how would you organise that table? The reason why i ask is because if you look at the original post for example you would have europe and rest of the world both having 0 - 99g and 100-200g

I was thinking of having a table like below and storing the pricees for each gram value

CREATE TABLE `europe` (
`europeID` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
`Weight_0_99` float NOT NULL,
`Weight_100_200` float NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`europe`)

CREATE TABLE `restworld` (
`restworldID` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
`Weight_0_99` float NOT NULL,
`Weight_100_200` float NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`restworld`)

CREATE TABLE `firstclass` (
`firstclassID` int(11) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment,
`Weight_0_99` float NOT NULL,
`Weight_100_200` float NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (`firstclass`)

etc..
