Can the Search function do this?

Thread began 4/10/2012 1:06 am by eric284736 | Last modified 4/27/2012 10:00 pm by eric284736 | 1843 views | 14 replies

Thanks again Jason!

Okay for the next question...

I have the search page and the search link(s) are forms with text submit functions with hidden inputs passing the variables to the results page. The form action is GET.

So once on the results page I will have, for example, regions of france. I want to keep the querystring that has been passed to the results page and then click on an Area link and add that to the querystring so the results are now more defined.

Am I correct in thinking that I can add fields to the search behavior and if those variables are not present in the querystring then they will be ignored?

Secondly, how do I keep the original querystring intact while adding the additional variables from the Area link?

Hopefully this is making sense :)
