Search results on same page....

Hi there, I am wanting to use the same results page for BOTH displaying the results for a keyword search form (located in my websites menu bar) and also displaying results from a dynamic URL (which is given by menu links). I am wondering if the method to do this would be to use Framebuilder plugins to dynamically load a recordset depending upon my action.

The reason being, I need the same layout coding for both these pages (eg. currently, if I alter slightly one page I would then be required to alter the second page...I figured this would be messy in terms of development).

at the moment all my attempts have failed (for some reason I cannot seem the get the framebuilder to pass in both recordsets - perhaps i need to start from a fresh file).

is my method workable...or can you not simply pass in different recordsets to the same page depending upon an action via framebuilder plugins?

Im also wondering if I am failing due to following a tutorial a while back and soemhow the coding has become misplaced somehow after many edits of the page.
