I apologize if you found any of our phone conversation Rude or Disparaging, it certainly was not my intent. We spent much of the time battling a connection that kept dropping all together or dropping the sound.
When not battling connection issues, we where going in a round robin discussion of why leaving the SMTP server blank in some cases would work, but in other cases would not.
I can only help you resolve the issue of sending the emails as far as you will let me. Every suggestion that i made in trying to resolve the issue was met disagreement.
at the end of the call, we where able to look at the debug code on the success page and see that the emails where being sent to the SMTP server successfully, but for some reason the SMTP server was not relaying them to the recipient.
Universal Email works like this:
* The form is submitted and the email message is compiled
* Universal Email sends the message to the SMTP server.
at this point, Universal Email has completed it's job and is no longer part of the equation
* The SMTP Server relays the message to the recipient
once it gets to the SMTP server, settings on the SMTP server may effect whether the email is relayed or not, if it is not being relayed, you need to contact the host to look into the issue on that end.
