  I was mistaken, the transaction ID is set in the Get Payer Profile behavior.

on the bindings tab, click the plus button and select eCart -> Checkout -> Local Checkout response. from the gateways list, select Get PayPal Express Checkout Payer Profile. and use the transaction ID binding from that binding group.

Okay, Jason, that's not gonna work either. I did exactly what you said ..

1) eCart -> Checkout -> Local Checkout

2) For Payment Gateway, the choice you suggested 'Get PayPal Express Checkout Payer Profile' does *not* exist. The only choices I have for PayPal are ...
PayPal Direct Payment
PayPal Authorize Express Checkout
PayPal Process Express Checkout
PayPal Payflow Pro
3) *None* of those have a Transaction ID

To be frank here, you guys have way too many confusing choices here. I have no idea what the the meaning is of these four and I couldn't tell you the difference between any of them ... And I've been working heads down on my eCart for a month. You guys need to seriously simplify this stuff and make it easy to know which one does what and why.

There is another Server Behavior called
eCart -> Checkout -> PayPalExpress Checkout

But none of the options under that menu have a Transaction ID.

Honestly, I know you're trying on this one but it's starting to look like you're guessing. Is there anything a developer can do to trap and read the entire response coming back so we can look for the transaction string (9999-9999-9999-9999) and see what its container is? We can't just keep guessing like this.

Thanks.
