does your advice re pre built contact form solution also apply to form builder?
As mentioned in a previous thread I previously(succesfully) used the pre built contact form solution and am now considering buying form builder - I have one more question before I buy it.
My fasthosts UK server required a minor tweek that you succesfully explained to me how to carry out (thanks) - does the form builder use the same files as the contact builder(see cut&paste below) and basically would it be just as simple to get the contact forms I make with form builder to work on the fasthosts UK server.
I have cut&pasted your previous response below:
My original question and your very helpful reply are still in the pre built contact form forum (search under j dobres?)
please confirm if I can apply the same minor tweek to the output of form builder (for contact forms) - presumably the tweek also applies to other form builder outputs e.g. login forms etc?
Its now sunday evenng and I have purchased form builder and tested it for a simple contact form on the fasthosts UK server - supprisingly without tweeking it for ini sets and also the 'f' parameter(see your reply for making the pre built contact form solution work on the fasthosts UK server) the form appears to work fine! - how come?.
Is the form builder code more sophisticated than the now retired pre built contact form code with some sort of automatic options for the quirks of different servers?
Anyway I shall now experiment with the various formatting options and maybe take a look at the login form?
Please confirm all is well
Your previous reply:
with this info, all you should need to do is add the ini set line at line 1 of the contact us page:
then edit the WA_UniversalEmail/mail_php.php file.
change line 257:
$mailObj = mail($mailTo,$mailSubject,$mailContent,$mailHeader);
$mailObj = mail($mailTo,$mailSubject,$mailContent,$mailHeader, "-f email@example.com ");
in both of these code examples, make sure to change firstname.lastname@example.org to a valid email account on your fasthosts domain.
