Single use Discount Codes

Thread began 9/21/2011 9:54 am by martin400112 | Last modified 11/08/2011 2:06 pm by martin400112 | 699 views | 2 replies

Single use Discount Codes

My mini-supermarket client has asked for a single use discount code for each customer that comes to the site.
I have managed to create a system whereby a customer can create their own discount code which, when used gets added to the order details in the database.

But, in order to ensure the code can only be used once, the discount code entered needs to the cross referred with the order details in the database. If the code exists in the order details, it is not applied to the order, and if it does not exist in the order details table, the discount is applied.

The problem I have is creating the cross referring part in the discount codes area in the eCart object.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,
