form submission on 'Enter' key being pressed

My site has a ‘global’ search form in the header of each page.

I have an issue on the cart page, where, if the customer updates a cart total and presses the ‘enter’ key, they are redirected to the search results page.

Just wondering what the ‘best’ method is to prevent this from occurring.

For the moment, I have added a little js to the <head> section of the cart page to disable the enter key, but is this a recommended approach?
