Data Assist writting '0' to db

Hi Guys,

I have an odd issue on my insert page.

Pre info:

--
-- Table structure for table `fuel`
--

CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `fuel` (
`FuelID` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
`FuelName` varchar(50) NOT NULL DEFAULT '',
PRIMARY KEY (`FuelID`)
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 AUTO_INCREMENT=3 ;

--
-- Dumping data for table `fuel`
--

INSERT INTO `fuel` (`FuelID`, `FuelName`) VALUES
(1, 'Petrol'),
(2, 'Diesel');

The above is my fuel table.

The issue that i am having is that on my insert page i have a menu for fuel with two choices, diesel or petrol.

On insert it doesnt matter which you choose, '0' gets wriiten to the database.

Could someone shed some light on this.

i have attached my insert page just in case its requested.

Kind regards

Jonathon
