stuck on installation wizard, step four

Thread began 4/04/2011 7:47 pm by christie367953 | Last modified 7/20/2011 7:32 am by christie367953 | 3084 views | 18 replies

One step further

Seems that with al MAMP / localhost configuration, it is a matter of MySQL rights.
When I setup a database connection (in de PowerCMS wizard), say
Name: testconn
MySQL-server: localhost
user: root
pw: root
Database: test

The username and pasword 'root' gives you all the rights, and then
Step four of the installation process is taken easily.

After all files have been installed, my initial testpage.php where I started the installation in the first place (Dreamweaver > Add content to PowerCMS)
gives the message "content area not found".

When trying to edit the page: "Table 'test.pcms2_users' doesn't exist"

Please help me a one step further...

p.s. what MySQL rights do I exactly need to run the installer?
Because my internet provider has setup a database with username and pasword, but obviously not all the rights like 'root' has.
