Add To Cart Button

I must be missing a peice of information....Why is that when I go throught the steps required for adding a Dynamic Add To Cart Button, as specified in the getting started guide, I am not given a choice to select the particular product I want, for instance In Steps 12-20 I go through the process of binding the columns in the Bindings Tab to the Columns of the recordset I defined for the page. When I do this & test the buy button on my page - the item which winds up in the cart is always the first item I have listed in my database - At what point do I tell the Add To Cart Button that I want the product with a certain ID such as cmc-0203 or ttlm-09x06?
