Running search on page load

Hi, I've created search and result pages ok with DataAssist Wizard but I'd also like to see the results of a search on a page when the page is loaded.

For example, if a customer selects the "Ceramic Tiles" page from the navigation menu on the site the said page should open and display the sub-set of tiles that are in the ceramic category.

I've used a hidden form field with a preset value for the correct product category in the search forms on both the search and results page, and this works fine but only if I arrive at the results page after executing the search on the search page.

Is it possible to get the search to execute automatically when the results page loads, without having to click the search button AFTER the page has loaded?

rob

ps: I've discovered that I can get this to work by including the search string on the end of the navigation button's url link for the results page - eg:

<a href="<?php echo($assumedRoot); ?>tiles/kitchens/porcelain_Results.php?Search.x=38&Search.y=9&Search=Search&S_ProductCategoryID=3">Porcelain</a>

but wondered if there is a better way of doing this?
