Login Session lost

Login Session lost

I have a situation where I have a standard registration page with auto login and remember me on the login screen. Upon initial login, the session is set and I am redirected to the appropriate page. But if I go to any other page that has the WA_Auth_RulePasses("Logged in to users") it fails because the $session_id is not blank. If I login again it is seems to keep it fine and I can navigate the site fine. It is only the inital login that is losing the $Session_Id initially. If I set AutoLogin I do not have this issue since it just logs me in but if I do not then every time I initially login this session loss happens. I cannot find what is making this happen. Particularly since it does not happen upon re-login.
