Hi. I am a new Siteassist user and am having trouble learning how to configure and use the drop-down horizontal menu created initially with a site assist template. I did configure the pages initially and I thought successfully. It appears to have created a css similar to a library. I am now trying to format the menu (font, size, colors, etc.) When I attempt to make these changes either in the css for "topnavigation" or a:link, neither affects this menu. Also, when I preview the page in a browser, the menu does not show at all. Is there some basic documentation or a tutorial to help with this? I have not found any help in documents, faq's or forums. Do I have to purchase the CSS Menu product? I could create these menus manually but thought the template would be quick and easy.
Thanks for your time!

With Menu Writer you could make a lot of CSS changes to the Menus easily, but if you don't have CSS Menu Writer installed, then you should be able to make modifications to the css directly.

Send me a link to your page and i will tell what file you need to update.

Thank you for responding. Unfortunately, I have not published this site yet as it is incomplete therefore I cannot send a url link. What format would allow you to view my page prior to publishing it to the web? Again, I am sure it is simply a case of learning to use Site Assist but I cannot find any documentation on this. Thanks again.

The easiest way would be to create a folder off of the root of your site for testing. That way things can be tested in the same environment as the real site. When you are through testing, you just delete the entire folder.

If you are worried about Google finding the test folder, you can add a robot.txt file or password protect it. I usually just put a Test Site Only message on it in case someone wonders in.

I have completely started over. I have used the templates to create a new site (not published). I was able to carefully work around the side menu and create the index (home) page. Within the initial "Site Structure" page, I created sub-pages for About, Services and Contact. Each of these page titles have sub-pages. The Home Page is not customizable but each subsequent page needs a "Page Type". I have tried several different "page types" and each time I go to those pages within Dream Weaver, I am not able to access the header or side bar areas, only the page content. I even tried a "Blank Page" format. I am missing something very fundamental here but there is no documentation from Webassist on this. Please know, I have manually created sites with multiple pages without Webassist and never encountered anything like this. Please advise.

Thanks!

Could you take a screen shot of the setup in the wizard that you have for the Site Structure so I can reproduce the structure and take a look at it?
