My client sells resources in the form of CD recordings of seminars from her website. I have setup an online store using eCart and she is very happy with it. Now however she wants to be able to offer the recordings in two formats, CD's and as an mp3 download. I'm wondering if someone could guide me in the best way of going about this. I don't think that a client would want to have them both, they would order either the download at a reduced cost or the CD. I though having two "Add to Cart" buttons going to different carts might be the answer.
Any suggestions?

I don't believe you need two different carts, I believe they would be separated by recordset on the page. Each recordset for the associated button. Just have to make sure that the different format files are included in your database. I have a similar problem right now with this where they can order two different versions of a file. The page is setup the way I describe, but reads the first product for both for some reason, even though they are separated by ProdID in the recordset. Still waiting on a answer.

I don't think you need different carts. You could add a column to keep track of the physical or digital nature of the purchase and adjust in your cart. A second cart would work if that is the preferred workflow, but it seems a single cart would be easier.
