I have a site that I build using Supersuite...and also irite.
I have had no problems with the site until I went back in to make some changes.

I have 2 update pages...that as soon as I click on irite...it crashes DW.
It only crashes on the update pages.
In addition, if I have the "applications window open"....
The page will crash DW as soon as I open it!
When the "applications window is closed"...the page will load, but crashes as soon as I click on irite at all!

Note: I have it on 2 insert pages that use irite and there are no problems there.
Just on the UPDATE pages.

I do not plan on upgrading to your new html editor.

Are there a fix for irite?
I would think there should be.

You didn't mention any error messages or anything about your operating environment, but I would start with step 1:
http://www.ipvac.com/kb/entry/146/

Also make sure that you are using the latest version of the extensions you are using.

This might help as well:

The more we know about your issue the more likely it will be that someone can help you. Otherwise the WA guys will be back on Monday.

I am on winxp, CS3. I have Supersuite. I do not belong to your subscription service.

There are no error messages.
DW completly crashes.
DW completely shuts out PDQ.

I tried to erase the cache file, but my path doesn't match the directions to attached to your responce.

Note:
The older version, worked great.
Approximately 7 months have gone by, I haven't opened this site in DW in that long.
I have kept my extentions current, (but not upgraded).

I'm NOT having this problem with irite on all of my pages, just ones that have the update server behavior.

I will attach the 2 files that am having the problems with.

I have taken a look at your pages and can confirm that I can edit the instances that you have on these pages without any crashing or other issues. This leads me to believe that there may be an issue with your cache file or current installation files. In the link that Office Guy posted are steps to delete this cache file as well as renaming the configuration folder if you need to.

We have a document on deleting the cache file here:
http://assets.webassist.com/technotes/common_installation_issues.pdf

Also, if this does not work for you here is a link to steps you can take to rename your configuration folder:

http://www.webassist.com/forums/showpost.php?p=12293&postcount=2

Please give these things a try to see if you can get past this issue. If you have any trouble with any of this or have any questions please let us know.

That is great to hear. If you encounter other error message like issues in DW when trying to use extensions this is always a great thing to try first to see if it resolves the problem.
