Paypal out by a penny

I notice when I have a %age discount voucher applied to my cart, that sometimes the paypal total is different by a penny.

Has anyone else come across this ?

This is because it used to be that paypal wouldn't accept negative line items, so we take the discounts off each individual item. If someone orders multiple items the amount is rounded to the nearest penny... The solution is to update the way it is sent and use a negative line item instead, since I believe paypal started supporting that recently.

As ecart calculates the discount per cart rather than as an item, does this mean there is an updated version of ecart onthe way ?

Define "on the way". We will certainly be making this update at some point in the future. No release or development is currently in progress for this particular issue.
