All of my sites are built with Site Assist 3. But I recently bought cs4 web premium and upgraded to the Web Designer suite with Site Assist Pro. I realize there's going to be a learning curve but at present, I'm totally lost. I can't figure out how to modify the homepage layout - I'm using the corporate layout (the one with the big sailboat).

Specifically, the image is a mystery. In SA 3, the text to the left of the image is editable. In this version of Site Assist, the text to the left of the image is part of the graphic. Is there any way to edit this text? Maybe I've been spoiled with the Web Assist products from earlier versions. But I really need some help on this issue.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Matt,

I'm not familiar with the particular flavour of Site Assist, but could the graphic be a background image? Can you preview the page in Firefox? If you are able to do this you can use the Developer Toolkit or Web Developer Toolbar to identify the image.

If not, have a look through the background images in the CSS for the site.
Hope this helps!

Thanks David. The image in reference is in the siteassist images folder. But my question is why is the text in the image...why do this? Like I said earlier, maybe I've come to rely on Site Assist too heavily and now I have to learn some of the other tasks associated with CS4. I guess I just edit the image in photoshop or fireworks to be used for the page(s).
Thanks again David. I'll just keep plugging away. But I readily welcome any additional advice!

It depends on the design. Do you have a url?

Ray-
It's still local as I haven't decided on a domain yet. However, the design is the "corporate" layout. It's the one with the big sailboat on the home page. I hope this helps.

Matt,

If you look in your order history under SiteAssist Pro, you should have an item called "SiteAssist Pro: source files with Sculptor presets". In there you can get the source files that were used to create the Corporate layout. You can open the Fireworks or Photoshop file, adjust the graphic/text as needed, and save the new image. In your case, it is probably easier to use Fireworks and use the slice tool to select the exact area you want to save as the new image.

Justin-
Thank you very much! I'll get to that today. I'll have to some learning but I'll get it done.
Thanks again!
