I am also getting a JavaScript error when I open up the Security Assist Wizard in Dreamweaver CS4 on a mac. I have read other posts where the advice has been to follow the steps on this page:
http://www.ipvac.com/kb/entry/146/

I have tried all of these steps and I am still getting this error (attached), if I click OK I then get the next error.

Is there anything else I could try?

double check that you have correctly set up a dynamic Dreamweaver site. See the following for more information:
http://www.ipvac.com/kb/entry/151/

Make sure that the local path to the site folder contains only web safe characters, avoid periods or other special characters in the folder names leading to the site files.

Do you have a dynamic page open in Dreamweaver when launching the security assist wizard?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes that's all fine, unfortunately it's still not working, Data Assist seemed to work fine, but I still get error messages when I try and open the Security Assist Wizard. Always the same first one, but when I click OK, the second error message seems to change slightly (attached).

What version of SecurityAssist do you have installed?

try uninstalling it from the extension manager, then installing the latest version that is available from the Download center.

Unless it's changed over the last couple of days I have version 1.1.8. I have already tried removing it from the extension manager and re-installing after reading other posts, unfortunately no joy!

What are the issues you are running into?

Jimmy,

I downloaded the extensions, launched Adobe Extensions Mgr, loaded the extensions, launched Dreamweaver, made a PHP file, established a connection to the localhost, inserted SecurityAssist, entered the Key code successfully, hit OK, then it gave me a JS error about some Security_Assist_Wizard.htm page. So I had to force quit, remove the ext per instruction on the forum, throw away the file in the config folder, and redo everything above and got the same result. I've seen other folks have the same problem on a PowerPC running CS4. I need a solution please. Thanks.

I haven't been able to run any of my extensions and have been hand coding this project for the last 1.5 days since I posted my initial Q.

If you could take a screen shot of the error and post it up, it would help determine what issue you are having.

My screen shot looks just like the other folks in this post. I'm having the same problems as the other folks in this post.

Refer to nicolelagden329266 post on 10/26/09 at 7:04pm for the screenshots.

Thanx Jimmy.

Will let you know how it goes.

Kay just replaced the javaScript and looks like it's working just fine. Gonna run it through all the way but usually when the fix is in its in.
