On the Mac, Safari browser, the update content box does not display the existing content. Otherwise it functions correctly with adding content. When you update it the exisitng content is not displayed and if you add more content it just appends to the invisible content.

<td class="KT_th"><label for="Content">Content:</label></td>
<td align="left" valign="top"><%
' WebAssist iRite: Rich Text Editor for Dreamweaver
Dim WARichTextEditor_1 : Set WARichTextEditor_1 = CreateRichTextEditor ("Content", "../WA_iRite/", "800px", "800px", "Custom", "../custom/property-update_Content2.js", "" & cStr((rsPropertyTable.Fields.Item("Content").Value)) & "")
%>
<%=(tNGs.displayFieldHint("Content"))%> <%=(tNGs.displayFieldError("PropertyTable", "Content"))%>

Do you have a link where this can be seen? This is not something that I have encountered before and would like to see the end result in the browser to get a better idea of what is going on. When you see this problem are you able to click on the source button to have the information show there?

Eric,

I will see if I can get the source when looking at the page. It is not on my computer it is the client computer.

The site is live behind a protected backend. I could email you a link and login to see the page live.

thx

Eric,

Another thing to check with your client is how they have their permissions set.

Safari has a slightly different security tab than other browsers and under security there are several check boxes for "web content" Of them, there are three that would be critical for the content to show and those would be:

Enable Plug-Ins
Enable Java
Enable JavaScript

If one of those was not checked, that would probably keep it from rendering correctly.

Brian

I've verified the same problem behavior. Using the Developer feature in Safari (Windows), and turning off Styles - shows the content being entered, albeit with no HTML-editor features intact.

Is there a prospective solution here yet? I'm thinking about trying to remove all styling for that section of the page?

Has there been any resolution to this? HTML Editor does not seem to be working on Safari 3.2.1 (only version I have access to). It works fine on Safari 4 on PC or any other browser on PC or Mac.
