I have deleted the configuration folder, uninstalled all software's and reinstalled all webassist software's fresh. I also deleted the winchach.dat file. This seems to be a problem, since I can not register any of the software from webassist. Does anyone have the same problem with webassist software? I have lost days now trying to get the stuff to just activate, and was wondering if there is a sequence that you have to install the extensions to avoid the problem with there activation failure of the software.
I am really frustrated with this issue.
I am running Windows XP Pro service pack 3. Dreamweaver CS4

Is this error happening when you attempt to activate a particular product? When exactly does this error occur for you? Do you ever see any activation window? Please post back with this info and I will check into this further for you. If needed I will open up a support ticket so that this can be reviewed by our engineering staff.

When I installed the software, it installed all the files in the app hidden directory. When I launched any of the programs, the window to activate failed saying that the code .js was empty.
To solve the problem, I installed all softwares again. I then had to copy all of the shared webassist stuff out of the hidden app area and into the c: programs directory for dreamweaver.
This is a work around to get it to find what it was looking for to open and let me put in the serial numbers. Why the programs installed the information into the hidden apps section is beyond me. When it came up to enter the serial numbers, it wanted to get the data from the c: programs section.
I guess I would like to know what area the shared stuff should of gone to?
I now have all working with copying all files to the programs directory. Has anyone else had this issuse?
I would think that the installer should of put the items in the right place and that the program would find the needed files?
Oh well, its a work around that worked for me.
The dialouge box gave me the path to copy all the hidden files to.

I have submitted a ticket for you on this issue so that it can be looked into further. The files should be installed in the hidden apps folder for your user, this is the correct location. They should not need to be present in the programs folder.
