When trying to initialize Sculptor, I get this in CS4 Dreamweaver (XP Home)-
While executing onLoad in wacs_wizard.htm, the following Javascript error(s) occurred:
In file "wacs_wizard":
initializeUI is not defined
I tried removing sculptor and reinstalling it a few times and restarting comp, to no avail. Does anyone have any clue on this one?
Thanks in advance,
Dean

Try clearing your winfilecache.dat file in your configuration folder while DW is closed. That can sometimes fix problems like this.
If that doesn't work, please submit a support incident and somebody can look into this with you.

Had the same issue. Since I'm on a Mac, trashing the macfilecache.dat corrected the issue.

I'm having the same problem on a Mac OSX 10.5.6. I don't see a file called "winfilecache.dat" in my config folder. Which file should I look for?

Hey Ray,
Thankyou for the quick reply. Where do I find that file? I looked in the DW Configuration folder and the Windows Configuration folder and don't see the file.

It is in your users local configuration. Users/Library/Applicaiton Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver cs4/en_us/Configuration... or something like that I haven't used a mac in a while.

Hey Ray, I see that you've posted on Adobe's site about this and I figured it out from there. Had to use the folders options to show hidden folders to get to it. It did solve the problem. Thanks again much.

I still cannot make it work.
The file I'm deleting is MacFileCache-0DBEA6C7.dat not MacFileCache.dat
If it is an invisible file how can I get to it?
I'm on Mac 10.5.6
Help please!

Hi,
Your tip saved my day! Thank you!
FYI, the file name on the Mac is "MacFileCache-(random number).dat" and it is located under
/users/(your Home folder)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/Configuration/

I just filled a trouble ticket for this. Seems they should document this in the installation notes since it's a common problem.

We will be updating our installation instructions to include this information. It seems to be introduced in CS4 and we just recently got our heads around the cause.

Hello,
I have the exact same problem, but I can't find the file winfilecache.dat to delete. I use Windows Vista.
It's funny, I was able to open sculptor for the first time and tey it out, then I downloaded other WA extensions and I'm unable to open sculptor with the error mentioned above. I uninstalled everything and reinstalled sculptor and it still does not work.
Please advise where I should delete winfilecache.dat in Vista.
Thank you!

The folder may be marked as hidden. Make sure to enable view hidden folders.
Another trick is to open explorer and use the location: %APPDATA%
that will take you to the correct directory. It should be something like:
Win Vista
-DW8
--C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8
-DWCS3
--C:Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9
-DWCS4
--C:\Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US
