Maybe clear out your filecache.dat file in your DW user configuration folder.

Have you used it before and had it work? What version if any of universal email are you using? Whate Dreamweaver version?

A support incident may be the way to go.

Ray,

Have a ticket in from earlier in the day. As was suggested I removed the file , That didn't help. So I uninstalled Ecart 4.1.5 . Downloaded the latest ecart 4.1.5 and it won't install through the extension manager.

Yes I have used it previously without problem. I tested it using paypal and transactions completed fine.

if I need to uninstall anything else, in what particular order do I install them?

Regards,

Gregg

As long as you have the most recent version, the order shouldn't matter.

If you haven't upgraded some products, install them first and then the ones that you have the most recent version of after.

I would suggest deleting your Configuration folder to save you 90% of the time if you are planning to uninstall all of your extensions. I often find deleting the configuration and installing all products can be faster than uninstalling just one.

Ray,

I removed every single Web Assist extension, rebooted. Then downloaded the latest extension from your web site. Installed most all extensions. Then tried to install Ecart 4.1.5

Same error as in title.

Please help.

regards,

Gregg

I have the same problems (with the exception that my error is "....onload....." instead of "...mouseup.....".

I also cannot install the 4.1.5. I am using DW CS3, PC version.

Tried removing cache files, extensions etc but still getting same problem. Was NOT getting it with the last site I built.

Somebody will have to debug this with you. Make sure to post a support incident and then let me know the incident number. I'll make sure somebody looks into it quickly.

It looks like we had an issue when we uploaded the file to the new server. The file has been replaced and should work properly now. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Removed entire DW configuration folder and then installed 4.1.5 - this fixed the issue. Unfortunately I'll have to reinstall all my extensions, but the cart is now working.

It pops up during the checkout wizard after I enter the PayPal ID.
The start screen will hang and not proceed forward if the Shipping Services are selected as yes. If the "no" shipping services is selected then it will go to the tax screen, then the PayPal screen (if PayPal is selected as the checkout method) and the produces the onMouse up error after the PayPal email address is entered.

I have the cart 4.1.5 and the Universal Email is the latest version 3.05. I have dumped the WinCache-.dat files, uninstalled - reinstalled the extensions and the same error is produced.

Frustrating!

Thanks,

Support gave advice to 1: clear cache, 2: Delete Configuration Files, 3: New version of a javascript file to install. Each support stage takes a few days turnaround so a week in total. Now the wizard completes but a big heap of other bugs are exposed.

I cant believe Webassist describe this product as "easy to use, no coding required". The current version is far from robust in my opinion and support is poor.

My ticket number, because I can hear the Moderator typing the standard advice, is 81644

Ray
You replied to this ticket promising to call to resolve - At the moment the ticket is flagged as needing more information from me, and you haven't yet called.

What information do you need? I have already supplied all the files, and provided details of the site so you can see the errors generated for yourself, given my research pointing you to upgrades by Protx, fed back the results of last week's suggestions by Webassist support.

Any chance of some help?

I've cancelled appointments so I'm available to take your call and you know I'm desperate for your help...

It is difficult to connect with you because of the vastly different time zones. Wed. is also my busiest day of the week. You can call me at the webassist office, my extension is 103.

It appears that may be the issue. Please try that fix and let me know if you continue to have issues. Feel free to call me at the webassist office number ext. 103 if you continue having this issue and I will investigate it further with you personally.

I experienced a combination of 2 problems:

1, Ecart's wizard "onMouseUp" error - fixed by the new version of pages.js
2, Protx's testing server upgrade which no longer supports Ecart's protocol 2.22

For a first e-shopping project this combination left me very confused/fustrated!

However, I can confirm that Ecart's wizard will work and efficiently generate code to link with Protx, so long as a full Protx account has been arranged, and not simply the Protx testing server.

Hope this helps!

Sorry for your frustration. Unfortunately we were blind-sided by this update as well so we didn't have time to fully investigate and find the solution or work around. Hopefully your frustration will help others so they won't experience the same problems, if that is any consolation.

It would be helpful to know what if any resolution has been reached on this. I am now experiencing the same "onMouseUp" JavaScript error.
