Early two cents:
Just downloaded v.3, and uninstalled v2.05. Installation of v.3 seemed to go smoothly, but on first try to use it, a very long wait and nothing. On second try, it actually showed the activation screen, which I filled out, then nothing. On third try, I got into the application, but on first try to change any setting, the app hung and forced me to shut down dreamweaver.
So, I deleted my winfilecache file, which seems to fix everything, but still nothing. I get no beginning dialog box, no nothing. All of my other extensions seem to fire right up.
Next, I uninstalled v.3, reinstalled v.2.05, which started right up.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Robert

Are you getting any error messages when you run the wizard or does it just not come up?

Perhaps "won't initialize" isn't descriptive enough.
"Nothing" about describes it. It's as if I hadn't selected the extension at all.
Thanks,

I uninstalled CSS Sculptor 2.0.5 (or whatever is the last version before 3.0) and installed 3.0.
I open DW CS4, then attempt to create a new CSS Sculptor page (FILE --> New CSS Sculptor Page...) and receive the following DREAMWEAVER error:
------------------------
While executing onLoad in wacs_quickinsert, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
At line 145 of file: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\Commands\wacs_quickinsert.js":
hasAutoSave is not defined
-------------------------
Any help?

I searched further on the forums here and found that by deleting the WinCache file it resolved the problem.
Thanks -- Jim

I installed Sculptor3 on another computer last night, and installation went seamlessly, no problems. Bolstered by this victory/defeat, I went back to the original computer, uninstalled 2.05 once again, reinstalled 3.0 again, and got the familiar errors immediately after activation.
I then renamed the winfilecache, and restarted dreamweaver.
At this point, no glitches.
I have no idea what makes this round of uninstalls and reinstalls different than the others, it's the same procedure. I'm going to have to start counting to 100, or six in this case, before I write to the forum.
Moral of the story for me: resetting the winfilecache does seem to correct most interface problems with webassist extensions. Here's the moral: repeat the process more than once, keep trying, apparently some resets and reinstalls are different than others.
Thanks for your time.

I'm glad you were able to get the extension working. Deleting the WinFileCache is generally the first thing to try when an error occurs.
