I do not think your Menu Writer can achieve my goals but need to ask.

I am working in a DW CS4 Template mode and building a master vertical nav bar. I have 5 main categories and then about 5-15 sub categories for each master group. I like to keep things neat and tidy but also want web visitors to know where they are at all times. So, similar to a spry, I want a collapisable panel that stays closed unless someone clicks or lands on a sub page and the that particular nav group would expand. Once they leave that group it automatically collapses.

The menu will not behave exactly as you are looking for, but it can do something similar. The path of the menu that the user is on can be set to be selected based on the page that the user is on. So if the user navigates through the 2nd item on the top level, 4th item on the second level and clicks on the 1st item of the third level, these menu items can be set to be highlighted. The highlighted state of the sublevel menus will not show up unless the selected item of the higher level menu is moused over.
