Look at the free google toolkit. It will allow you to add the google search engine to your web site very easily.

txs ray,

but i would like to put only a textfield with a search buton in my site layout, not with the google logo.
is there any possibility to do this with google search?

At the end of the day it is a form field and image button... I'm not sure if it is contrary to their licence agreement, but it is certainly technically very easy. Although the results will come up with the google results format and that cannot be changed.

You could try this. Never used it myself but have heard others say good things about it.

I'd also love a zoom-like site-wide search engine. Google's is $100 a year for one without the ads. The results page still looks like Google's results page and isn't custom.

I can't believe that no-one else has built in a search solution for Dreamweaver other than this one company Wrensoft who refuses to build a Mac based solution for us Mac based developers!

Build us one WebAssist! We don't want to have to pay $100 a year!
