Writing HR color CSS?

In sculptor, you can easily color code a border color, but where do you config for a horizontal rule? HR

To style an HR, you would have to add some custom CSS after running the Sculptor wizard. You can use the built in CSS functionality in Dreamweaver to accomplish this.

can you give me a hint where that would be or how I would write it....I see nothing in DW for horizontal rule or HR. Thanks Justin.

Ok....I found some stuff on the web...it seems that with 2px or less, the default is always black...I even tried a background image.....Have you seen any successful workaround for 2px?

You can always stretch an image in place of an hr for more style control.

Nowadays I tend to use borders to accomplish the same effect as a hr tag. So rather than a div, hr, div - i would eliminate the hr and just give a bottom-border and margin-bottom to the first div. This simulates the hr tag. Maybe something like that would work for you? Plus that technique is natively supported in Sculptor.

this is a question I've had using Sculptor. Say I create a 2 column format. I always think there should be a way to add a border to the content area below the header and above the footer, but since these two columns are not equal in height, I can't just add borders to either column either, and there's no easy way to create faux columns either (speaking of CSS Sculptor 1.0). I assume there must be an easy way to add a bg image to create a faux column but it isn't made clear in the structures I've built on Sculptor. Has that changed in 2.0 by the way? And what is the best method to add a border to the area specifically above the footer and below the header?

Sounds like you can put a bottom border on the header and top border on the footer to accomplish what you need.
