Capture contact form intro and have it sent to database

All I would like to do is capture the form data from a Contact Form (Solution Pack) and have the info (First Name, Last name, Email, etc.) sent to MySql database. Database is set up with matching table and fields...no go so far.

Can I use Data Assist for this??

Yes, just apply the insert record server behavior from dataassist on the page specified as the action of the form.
