site import - cant install extension

hello,
i just downloaded the WA_SiteImport304.mxp file from the downloads area.

i tried deleting the cache file in the /users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS4/en_US/Configuration/ directory as http://assets.webassist.com/technotes/common_installation_issues.pdf suggests, but still no dice.

my issue is when i close dreamweaver cs4 (mac osx), open adobe extensions manager and go to install, then click the WA_SiteImport304.mxp file - i get this message : The extension package is invalid. The extension will not be installed.

when you click the link to download the extension, make sure you select the option to save the file to your computer.

Usually when I see this error it is because the option to open it was selected instead.

you may also want to try downloading the extension with another web browser.


if your are still getting this error, make sure that any virus scanning or other real time file scanning software is disabled.

thanks very much, that was it - i had originally downloaded using safari - i tried with firefox and it was 4.4 meg instead of 3.4 - installed good.
