I'm trying to add new pages to my Menu Writer-generated menu. Here's what I'm doing:

1. Open index.html in the current Dreamweaver project
2. Double-click the MenuWriter icon next to the menu
3. Click + icon to add a new page, specify page name and link to a page that already exists
4. Click "OK" 3 times to finish the process.

When I do this I get a message from Dreamweaver:

Error generating menu (wa.generate,.menu):
TypeError MM.WA_createProcesingObject is not a function

Have tried restarting DW, even restarting the entire computer, but still getting the error. Using MacBook Pro, OS X 10.5.7. Only thing changed since last time I tried using MenuWriter is that I upgraded SiteAssist Pro to 1.0.5

Any help appreciated!

Cindy

Please try deleting your macfilecache .dat file in your user configuration folder. This is often the cause of odd errors like this.

If that doesn't work, please post a support incident and somebody can help you debug the cause. This is not a common or known issue.

That did the trick. But I had to search all over the forum to dig out the instructions on where to find macfilecache -- Spotlight didn't see it. And since this little trick seems to fix so many problems, perhaps those instructions should be included on the "Product Resources" pages under "General Tech Notes" or somesuch.

It would also be helpful to have a link to these forums under the "Support" tab. I spent a lot of time searching for an answer to this question under "Product Resources" and finally filed a ticket before getting the bright idea to search on Google using the symptom keywords and hit on these forums. I would have come here first if there had been an obvious link.
